Average Joe

In the last few days Indian newspapers have been buzzing about the upcoming release of the central government budget.  Exciting stuff as you can imagine.

Anyways the reason I bring this up is because a lot of the discussion about the budget is speculation on if the Congress Party (currently in power) is going to pander to the aam aadmi by including lots of populists measures such as food subsidies. 

The aam aadmi is the Indian version of the average joe or common man.  He's the rough equivalent of "Joe the (fucking) Plumber" in the 2008 US presidential election.

There's only one crucial difference.  This time around the "common man" is me.  Yes, aam aadmi = mango man!
